Hello,

Myself Dr Josh- and I’m happy to help with your question today.

Well, Chlamydia can usually be effectively treated with antibiotics like-

  • azithromycin – given as two or four tablets at once
  • doxycycline – given as two capsules a day for a week.

One should wait for seven days after single dose antibiotics or until completion of a seven-day course of antibiotics.

After one week, of taking antibiotics, one is completely free from Chlamydia.

Chlamydia is transmitted through sexual contact with the penis, vagina, mouth, or anus of an infected partner.

The average time from exposure to the development of symptoms is usually about one to three weeks after sexual contact with an infected person. And majority of men and women with chlamydia do not have symptoms.

Hope this helped

Spit

Dear,

Well, A person must be considered infectious from the time they become infected until treatment is completed.

After one week, of taking antibiotics, one is completely free from Chlamydia.

Chlamydia is less likely to be transmitted during oral sex

If someone, spits on your penis, then you would not get Chlamydia from this.

Spit, would not transfer Chlamydia.

Hope this helps.

My goal is to provide you with excellent service – if you feel you have gotten anything less, please reply back, I am happy to address follow-up questions.
Thank you.

Kind Regards

Dr.Josh
