What question can we answer for you today?

What is ITPE? I am well acquainted with idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) but don't recognize ITPE.

What is your medical question.

This needs to be bandaged correctly.

If it is infected that needs to be treated.

The bandage would need to be changed frequently given the location.

I suggest:

a. your doctor office for hands on instruction and exam.

b. if that is not possible, urgent care.

If this is infected you are likely to need a prescription cream called mupiricin.
