Welcome to Just Answer and thanks for your question.

Ultavate (halobetasol propionate) is an ultrapotent corticosteroid that is only available by prescription. It is prescribed for the itching of dermatitis, allergies, psoriasis, rashes, and other things. It isn't available at all over the counter. There is a generic which might be cheaper. Similar drugs (all prescription) are clobetasol propionate and betamethasone propionate.

You can discuss the price with your prescriber who can check if there is a cheaper drug that might service you just as well.

Please let me know if you have additional questions about this.

Kind regards,
