Normal range is 4.5 to 10....

The low WBC should be followed up...yes to that...

It may be linked to your anemia ( low red cell count )

Did you have normal platelets ??

If all three cell lines are low ( red cells ,white cells, platelets too) then we refer to that as pancytopenia ...seeing a hematologist for follow up may be in order ...

Viral infections are a common cause that may transiently lower WBC...

Certain medications may do that ....

Problems that affect the bone marrow may need to be looked into further if the WBC does not come up with time...

We generally do not want to over-interpret a single reading ...

A couple of readings a few weeks apart gives more information...
