What can white area on lung mean ? Lower left lung or just left lung had big white area like a white smoke
I am a smoker 21 years pack pack And a half a day! ?
Doctor said he wasn't too worried but he did feel something was brewing which got my head going he said maybe pneumonia but I feel fine no cough no fever no malaise , nothing just a wheeze when I exhale forcefully a pretty noticeable one but nothing when I breathe regular
What can this bug white fog over lung mean most likely possibilities ? I know diagnosing someone over a computer impossible but I'm just looking for likelihood potential causes of white dog smoke haze over lung on one side in chest ex Ray ? A little Paranoid ???

White area in the left lower part of the lung can be due to a few possibilities.
Consolidation, collapse of the lung from pneumonia are common causes.
Infection can cause fluid accumulation in pleural space which also appears as white.
Symptoms would depend on the severity of infection.
In mild cases, the symptoms will be few.
As the doctor does not think it serious, you need not to worry.
