Hello,I understand your concern.Well as describe there may be following possibilties in your case-Benign chest wall pain - a transient and fleeting irritation of the pleura, the slippery membrane that lines and protects the lungs. Panic attack -an episode of incredibly intense fear or apprehension that is of sudden onset which include symptoms like chest pain, shortness of breath ,etc that mimic with symptoms of heart attack. Gastritis Costochondritis Cervical spondylosisAt your age, it is less likely to have any cardiac pathology. You should try some self care measures likeHydrate yourself with plenty of fluids.Avoid alcohol, carbonated beverages, spicy, fried foods. You should take short breaks of rest while doing work on computer, mobile. Also do gentle massage on back of neck with muscle relaxant ointment and apply warm compresses with a heating pad.Take OTC Prilosec and Motrin.Do steam inhalation and saline gargles.Physical therapy can be effective in your case.Do neck stretching and strengthening exercises. If symptoms'll persist then see your doctor again.Hope this helps.Use reply to let me know if you have further queries. Please to not forget a positive rating and avoid poor/bad rating.Bonus is highly appreciated. We are here to help you until you satisfy.

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
you wouldn't worry about this?
Customer: replied 11 months ago.
I mean this has been going on for a month
Expert:  Dr. Anil replied 11 months ago.
It's not heart related. And you should try such self care measures which provide you relief.I wouldn't worry. If your symptoms are not improving then EKG,Chest X-ray can be done as a precautionary measure.Hope this helps.Use reply to let me know if you have further queries. Please to not forget a positive rating.
Customer: replied 11 months ago.
I'd like to add that this happens when I'm not anxious
Customer: replied 11 months ago.
As well
Customer: replied 11 months ago.
Would you do an EKG even tho my doctor said there's nothing wrong with my heart? Is there a high possibility of this being cardiac related given its been about a month.
Expert:  Dr. Anil replied 11 months ago.
Gastritis,Costochondritis,Cervical spondylosis can be possible causes which are not related to your stress.Further investigations like Chest, cervical spine X-ray should be done.EKG can be done as a precautionary measure even with chances of cardiac related problem are less.Hope this helps.Use reply to let me know if you have further queries. Please to not forget a positive rating.

Is there anything I can do at home before seeing more doctors (e.g. stretches)? If so can you tell me what you'd do to see to it that this stopped.
Customer: replied 11 months ago.
I've seen your suggestions I'm just wondering about stretches I could do
Expert:  Dr. Anil replied 11 months ago.
Do such self care measure which we discussed earlier before see your doctor again in next few days.Neck stretching exercises should be done. You can consider them under a physiotherapist.
