My mother had a hysterectomy 14 years ago for uterine cancer. She just mentioned that she has had light pink discharge over the past couple of days. She did have her cervix removed. She is very stubborn and keeps playing it down but I am concerned.

Hello,Thank you for your question.I am Dr Saha, I shall try my best to help you.I am sorry for her health condition. It can come from vagina.Infection is a frequent cause which can be easily treated by antibiotic. Trauma can cause bleeding too.Sometimes use of medicines like blood thinner can cause such bleeding. Growth can cause bleeding too.Though bleeding is less but any vaginal bleeding at this age should be checked by doctor.Vaginal swab, blood test, ultrasound are few tests that can be decided by doctor.I would suggest to take an examination by a gynecologist. I hope this information helps. If there’s anything else I can do, please let me know.If you are satisfied, please rate my answer as good or excellent.Regards.
