Hi,

The most common side effect when taking duloxetine(Cymbalta) is nausea.

It's good to discuss it with your doctor also.

You should try Zantac 150 mg twice a day after meals.

You should maintain a good hydration.

Eat small meals throughout the day.

Avoid late night eating.

And elevate your head with an extra pillow while sleeping.

Nausea may be caused by stress,Fibromyalgia themselves.

Between 40% and 70% of fibromyalgia sufferers experience symptoms of chronic nausea.

Feel free for further queries. It's good to discuss rather than quit.

Stay away from fried or greasy foods.

Milk products should be avoided.

Ginger has also been shown to be potentially effective in treating nausea so try ginger tea.

Second to ginger is peppermint, which has a calming effect on the lining of the stomach.

Hope this helps.

I am status-post gastric bypass in 2012. I have had no problems with my surgery ever since. I had. Barium swallow test to check for leaks/blockages and there are none. My nause started 3 weeks so and has been persistent. No fever. Endoscopy looked good with no ulcers or scarring. Just have constant nausea. I take Cymbalta 20 mg nightly, ambien 20 me nightly.

As we have discussed Cymbalta can cause nausea.

You should ask your doctor to change your medicine so you can feel better.

Other possible differential diagnosis may include Irritable bowel syndrome.

Hope this helps.
