I was using paint stripper on a toolbox and it got on my face. I flushed with water and was wondering what type of ointment should I use on the affected area?

What are your symptoms now?

Which area of the face is affected?

irritated skin on cheek and nose

You can apply otc hydrocortisone and neosporin cream.

It is best not to apply anything on the skin as a cream/ointment initially. I would advise you take anti-allergic tablet (which you can get over the counter). If after 2-3 day use, things are not settling, then you can use a topical steroid ointment on the affected area.
