Hello,

Thank you for your question,

I’m Dr. Saha and I’ll try to help you.

The disc is located between the bony vertebral bodies in the spine.

The discs serve as cushions between the bony vertebral bodies.

Both the vertebra & the disc are covered with cartilage.

Disc may bulge from pressure of the vertebral body.

This can cause pressure on the spinal cord or nerve roots coming out from spinal cord.

Pinching on the nerve can cause intense pain.

An MRI will be suitable for see the changes in the disc.

I hope this information helps.

If there’s anything else I can do, please let me know.

If you are satisfied, please rate my answer as good or excellent.

Regards.
