Hello!

No it is standard to have you sign a consent form for requesting medical records ...now it is common that a specialist may routinely send notes back to the referring doctor as coordination of care practice ...if you have specific concerns of privacy then you may discuss this with the doctor providing care ....

There should not be any request sent out from your PCP without YOU SIGNING FORM to give permission however ....
