I am a female who is experiencing a split stream of urine. I had a cystoscopy, several weeks ago. Could the procedure have caused this problem?

Hello,

Associated burning sensation and pain during urination?

Is urine cloudy?

Since how long have you been suffering from?

Any other medical history?

Are you taking any medications?

Thanks.

Waiting for your response.

No burning sensation during urination, but a I still have a little soreness from the procedure. I am not taking any bladder medications. I do take an antidepressant and a diuretic. The split stream started a short time after the cystoscopy procedure.

Hello,

Sorry for late reply and inconvenience.

Well as you describe you have soreness on urethra after procedure so it may be possible to have some irritation/inflammation at the opening resulting in Urethritis.

Other possible cause may include stricture in the urethra that can occur when someone had cystoscopy.

So you should see your doctor again for a clinical examination.

Also hydrate yourself with plenty of fluids.

You should try kegel exercises.
