No loss of appetite. No pain. The only meds I take are advil periodically for occasional headaches. I had a complete physical about a month ago and just received the lab results that I outlined.

Hello,
It’s my first priority to serve you.
Thanks for providing more information.

Well as per your reports.

Your serum bilirubin is slightly high with slightly high cholesterol and LDL(bad cholesterol).

So these high Total cholesterol and LDL indicate increase risk of cardiovascular disease.

When bilirubin is high it can suggest a problem with the liver or gallbladder or the ducts. However further lab tests and imaging tests would be needed to confirm and exact diagnosis.

In your case, as you do not have any other symptoms like - pain in abdomen, jaundice or any other serious symptoms, so it can be left to time.
It would be a good idea to wait for some time, and get fasting serum Bilirubin, total cholesterol re- check again. I agree with your doctor to consider wait & watch approach and stop alcohol.

The best way to lower cholesterol is to take less fat and oil in diet.

The omega3 fatty acids are useful in food adjuvant to lower cholesterol.

You should also take daily exercise as permitted by your body with which you feel comfortable. The daily exercise of 30-60 minutes is usually sufficient.
