My thyroid uptake scan demonstrates homogeneous uptake.

My thyroid uptake scan demonstrates homogeneous uptake. Thyroid uptake is high in both 6 & 12 hour period, beings hyperthyroidism.
My thyroid blood work sent off is extremely high as well and I many swollen lymph nodes on neck and behind ear & head.
Thyroid uptake scan final impression at end of report states:
ABNORMAL EXAM
Can you shed some light on this? Worried about cancer, or would it say that? Thank you so much

Hi. No need for a worry about cancer here--the homogeneous uptake means there are no cysts or tumors in your gland.

You obviously have a hyperactive thyroid and it will likely need to be treated with radioactive iodine.

But there's no evidence for cancer here
