Compression firmly for about 6-7 minutes is the best way to stop the bleeding. This is all of us surgeons do in operation room too to stop bleeding. Take a clean or sterile piece of cotton or cloth. And press the bleeding points firmly for sometime. Bleeding would stop.

You may apply Betadine, if you have in house, which will prevent the infection. Also Potassium sulfate, which is many times applied after shaving cuts to stop bleeding.

Hope your bleeding has stopped and you are doing good. If you are on aspirin or similar medications; the bleeding time prolong than normal. But still the firm pressure would stop the bleeding.
