Hello. I took the Oraquick hiv test. I drank a small bottle of gatorade between 20 and 40 min before the test (I can't remember exactly when). The test came back negative (only line was the "C" line). Can I trust the results ?

Hi

If you are not sure, then you need to retake the test. They are very particular on it being thirty (30) minutes of no eating, drinking, smoking or chewing gum

I'm really confused now. Some sites say 20 min, some experts say 10 min. Even on this site another Dr said it doesn't impact the results. I know if couldn't have been less than 20 min.
