I just received my blood work results and I show Leukocyte

Customer Question

I just received my blood work results and I show Leukocyte Esterase as 2+ Negative...But WBC Is 6-10
Should I be concerned. I have had many urinary tract infections but haven't had one in years and I am showing no signs

You note that you've received your blood work results, but what you have reported looks more like a urinalysis. Can you please clear up my confusion?

Thanks :-)

sorry..I had both blood work and urinalysis

It is possible to have a mild urinary tract infection or even a kidney infection and not show symptoms. That is what the white blood cells (leukocytes) and leukocyte esterase (a breakdown product of white blood cells) are showing. It may clear on its own since it is so mild, or your medical provider may want a short course of antibiotics for you. It is certainly nothing to be worried about; it's easily fixed :-)

Other than high cholesterol, the blood test results aren't remarkable.
