I'm not feeling well at all. Terrible headache, totally

Customer Question

I'm not feeling well at all. Terrible headache, totally exhausted, nautious & vomiting, fever, severe lower back pain, thirsty, and very clumsy (as in falling into walls). It's been going on for a few days....don't know how it could be flu since I've not been out of the house for over a week, and no visitors. Could it be flu, or do I need to go to er?

Are you able to keep any food down?

Can you hold water down?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
very thirsty...
Expert:  Dr. Brims replied 1 year ago.

Okay, if you aren't vomiting water then that is a good sign, it means you may not need to go to an ER. What have you tried eating?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Nothing today...I hate vomiting....yesterday I tried crackers, and a little pasta. It did not stay down.
Expert:  Dr. Brims replied 1 year ago.

You may try bananas, toast, and white rice, those have the best chance of staying down

Expert:  Dr. Brims replied 1 year ago.

If those can't stay down you may need to see your physician

Drinking gatorade and similar drinks should help too

Yay...all things I don't have. I just moved to this area...no Dr. here yet. Anything else I could try. I have no intention of going to a grocery right now.

Baked potatoes, pasta with no sauce, and applesauce are all good
