Had thick film in mouth week or two. Swishing whisky makes

Customer Question

Had thick film in mouth for last week or two. Swishing whisky makes it burn more than usual, but I want to kill whatever bad stuff is in my mouth. Not sure what to do. Cant taste food, but can smell OK.

Swishing the whisky did remove the thick film temporarily, but the taste senses did not return. I also swished hydrogen peroxide the next day. I have been really tired lately and overall pretty run down energetically.

No fever or other cold symptoms

Hi. This sounds like an oral thrush problem--a yeast infection. You can try taking probiotics and and tablespoon of apple cider vinegar three times a day but if that doesn't clear it up in a few days you'll need to see a doctor for prescription nystatin mouthwash. You may also have a sinus infection that's causing the lack of taste problem so overall it would be better to see a doctor about all of this

Follow up. Do I drink the apple cider vinegar. Or swish it around for a minute?
