Customer Question

Hi, I'm Caroline. I have had trouble passing stool over the past few weeks, and I have had stomach pain that comes and goes. I seem to have a hard lump that reaches to the left of and below my belly button, and it hurts when I press on it. Do you have any ideas what it could be or whether I should see a doctor? I have been eating a lot of fiber and drinking plenty of water, but nothing seems to improve.

Hello,
Thank you for your question,
I’m Dr. Saha and I’ll try to help you.
The hard lump can be loaded colon.
Colon can be loaded with hard stool & can be felt in lower left side of abdomen.
You may need an enema to relieve it.
I would suggest to take an examination by doctor.
Other issues like an obstruction, growth needs to be ruled out.
Dulcolax suppository can be tried, meanwhile.
I hope this information helps.
If there’s anything else I can do, please let me know.
If you are satisfied, please rate my answer as good or excellent.
Regards.
