Hi,
What is your age and gender?
Do they mirror each other (meaning located at the same place on both sides?)
Are they tender; however, when you feel the area is soft and fleshy or hard and firm?
How big are these lumps?
Duration of symptoms?
Any other medical illness?
Are you taking any medicines?
Thanks.

I'm female aged 31
On medication for IBS
The lumps are roughly in the same place on either side but feel more prominent on the left side.
They feel soft and fleshy and I've had them for a week

Hi,
Thanks for providing additional information.
I understand your concern and it's my pleasure to help you in every aspect.
As per your description, chances of oral cancer are less.
Possible differential diagnosis may include papillae(normal anatomic feature),cyst, mucocele.
However, if you are certain that those lumps have just recently emerged, or if they have undergone a conspicuous change in color, size, surface texture then consult your dentist for a clinical exam.
It is also a good sign if the lump is flesh colored, painless.
Usually a cancerous growth would have an irregular surface, i.e, some areas flat, some raised, irregular borders, color changes, and possibly be painful.
You should avoid spicy,fried,hot foods.
Maintain a good oral hygiene.
Start a B-complex multivitamin.
Drink lots of fluids.
Avoid smoking.
