Customer Question

Hi Pam,
my liver enzymes are up the past two months going higher with each blood test. then blood test showed Hep A ab, Total Positive abnormal. I feel great and haven't been sick. Dr. said it will peak before it comes down and did liver ultrasound and all was good. He also suggested an abdominal MRI. I am confused.

Hello,
Thank you for your question,
I’mCustomerand I’ll try to help you.
Usually liver enzymes goes down by 2 months in hepatitis A.
Though ultrasounds are good, as the enzymes are still high, doctor wants to see in details whether there is cirrhosis, growth or any other abnormality in the liver.
MRI can give more clear view than ultrasound.
I hope this information helps.
If there’s anything else I can do, please let me know.
If you are satisfied, please rate my answer as good or excellent.
