My Daughter had a birth trauma. She had right shoulder dystocia

Customer Question

My Daughter had a birth trauma. She had right shoulder dystocia and subdural hematoma of 7mm thickness. Her arm is perfectly fine now. we took another Ct at 10 weeks to see if the bleeding has absorbed and the result said.. she has encepholomalacia at the right inferior temporal lobe. what does this mean. How bad is this ? will she be having any developmental problems. ??

Hello
I am very sorry about your daughter. This is also a congenital condition, unfortunately .. Please feel free for your follow up questions.

We had EEG at 8 weeks and that came out normal. forgot to add that. what is a cogentital condition ?

I am sorry for the delay. My internet connection was not working. I apologize for your wait. Congenital is problems found at birth. EEG is usually normal with this as electrical activity of brain is normal in enchephalmalcia. This is not a big issue at all and prognosis usually is excellent .
