Customer Question

Hi there. I've had a cold and ear infections for 11 days now. I'm no longer congested or have any throat or ear pain. However, I can barely hear in my right ear and the outer ear, neck and face are numb. I've been on antibiotics for 5 days

Thank you for your question,
I’mCustomerand I’ll try to help you.
Have you finished the antibiotics? When?
Can you close the right eye?
Is there any difference of appearance between two sides of face?
When did you visit doctor last?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I haven't finished my antibiotic. I can close my right eye. No difference in appearance. I went to a redi clinic last Tuesday. Numbness started Friday morning.

Thank you for the information,
There can be a few possibilities.
There can be collection of fluid in middle ear after cold or infection which can cause the loss of hearing.
However, the numb feeling would need a follow up with doctor.
There can be involvement of nerve in the inflammation.
Facial nerve involvement can cause numbness on that side.
I would suggest to consult an ENT specialist for an evaluation.
I hope this information helps.
If there’s anything else I can do, please let me know.
