Hi there,
This is Dr. D.J., experienced Internal Medicine Specialist.
I am here to address your concerns and provide great service.

Hemodialysis is the easiest option if your brother has good vascular access.
Initially, central venous access is established to continue dialysis temporarily 3 times a week usually.
Then, a AV fistula is established by the vascular surgeon preferably around the forearm or wrist for permanent dialysis access.
If he does not have good vascular access, then peritoneal dialysis is preferred.
This process involves continuing dialysis through the peritoneal cavity in the abdomen.
Hemodialysis is broadly preferred due to the ease of access.

Best wishes

My brother is amazing. This is info for your other patients. On Sunday the Doctor wanted to start the dialysis procedure. Brother said one more test. Can I swim again, yes, his creatrine levels went down. He was swimming 30 laps a day and now he is back at 15.
