My nipples have been rubbed quite a bit lately for past few days I see they r dry and itss been itching....does this have to do with the rubbing?

Thank you for your question,

I’m Dr. Saha and I’ll try to help you.

Is there any redness or changes in the skin?

Do you feel only itching?

Only itching

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

It's a ltl dry

Thank you for the information,

Itching of the nipple can be due to allergy, dermatitis, fungal infection.

Rubbing usually produces soreness, pain.

You can apply antifungal cream like lotrimin thrice daily.

Cream would help to keep it moistened.

If you do not see any improvement, I would suggest to take an examination by doctor.

I hope this information helps.
My goal is to provide you with excellent service today. If there’s anything else I can do, please let me know.
I will be happy to assist, if you need any clarification. I hope to work with you again soon!

Thanks for ur quick response....i appreciate it......would I need to be concerned as I get very freaked out with everything...??? also can dryness cause it to itch??

Dryness can also cause itching.

A moisturizer or cream would help to relieve it.

If you notice any skin change like redness, crusting, flaking, thickening etc. you need to get it checked by doctor.

Thanks......if it just dry now and little itchy do I need to get concerned now or just try to put lotion?? sorry for all this questioning I just usually tend to go crazy with every little thing

You are always welcome.

If it is due to dryness, then moisturizer will be sufficient.

Lotrimin cream will help in fungal infection.

You can try them for a few days to check whether they help.

I was offline.

So I am late to respond.

Mild itching without any skin change or abnormal secretion is usually not serious.

At this point, you need not be concerned.
