I have hemorrhoids after giving birth to my daughter 3 months ago. Everything seems ok after birth. Recently I see fresh blood when passing stools. Is it because of the hemorrhoids still? What can I do about it? Is this a big concern? It only happen recent week. Couple weeks back I didn't have any bleed.
Hi,

Do you have a history of constipation recently?
Any history of severe straining while passing bowel motion?
Any pain or irritation while passing stools?

No to all your questions. Just when I wipe I see blood on the toilet paper or I see a little blood with the stool. All bright red blood. Not a lot but a few drips

Hi,
Thanks for providing additional information.
I understand your concern and it's my pleasure to help you in every aspect.
As per your description,it's possible that your symptoms are caused due to hemorrhoids and it's not a life threatening issue.
You should drink plenty of water.
And start fibre rich diet,metamucil.
Also avoid spicy,fried food,alcohol.
Other possible cause like Anal fissure should be ruled out.
You can try OTC Prep H topical ointment if you have anal itching, burning.
You should use moist toilet paper.
Avoid prolonged hours of sitting in same position.
It's good to consult your doctor or make an appointment with a proctologist for further management.

does those haemorrhoid ointment help at all? Or is there anything can actually get rid of the hemorrhoid?

Hi,
Sorry for late reply and inconvenience.
This prep H helps in healing of hemorrhoid however it doesn't cure it permanently.
You should take conservative measures to prevent frequent episodes of blood in stools.
Surgical intervention many be required in chronic cases.
