I fell in May and was told I had a bad spring of my left foot. I still have some aching and minimal swelling but I noticed the lateral bottom of my foot is numb. What could this possibly be?
Hi--did you have x-rays done and how soon after the fall did the numbness begin?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Yes I had xrays and I noticed the numbness sometime in July

OK. You need an MRI of the ankle and foot because it sounds as though you have what's called tarsal tunnel syndrome--like carpal tunnel but in the ankle and foot instead of the wrist and hand. If that's the case, you need to see a physiatrist--a physical medicine and rehabilitation MD specialist--for a customized therapy program that should resolve you symptoms
