My husband is having pain in his lower left abdominal area.

This answer was rated:

My husband is having pain in his lower left abdominal area. Also, his navel, in particular, is hurting and it seems to be trying to turn from an "inny" to an "outie". He said his navel has been changing for about a month without pain. But, tonight it hurts when he bends from the waist. Can you help? Thank you.

Hello,
Thanks for providing more information.
As you describe, you shouldn't ignore his symptoms and he needs to be seen by your regular doctor for a clinical examination to rule out underlying possible cause like Hernia,Diverticulitis,Colitis,Ureteric colic.
Further CT scan whole abdomen,Colonoscopy should be advised.
He should take OTC Motrin in the meantime.
If pain is severe then it's advised to visit ER for prompt management.

I hope this helps.
