Can you tell me more? Where exactly is the pain and how long has this been going on?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

right in the left upper chest.

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

six months or so

And how often do you have it and how long does it last? Any tenderness there when you have it?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

no tenderness once or twice a day and it can last up to 10 minutes

And it only hurts to take a deep breath? Any cough or shortness of breath when it happens?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

short breaths and deep breaths I do notice any shortness of breath but never really paid any attention.

OK. This doesn't sound too serious--certainly not a pulmonary embolus or lung tumor or anything like that. This sound like a short episode of pleurisy--inflammation of the lining of the lung. I would suggest though that you see a doctor for an exam and a chest x-ray just to further evaluate this

it would not be asthma would it.

No--asthma causes wheezing but not inspiratory chest pain
