I have been experiencing nausea, stomach pain , and when I push out to have a BM there is a knot around my belly button. How serious is this and should I give it some time before
running to the doctor or ER ?
Hi--how long has it been that you noticed the knot and is it hard or can you push it back into your abdomen?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

About a week or so. It goes back in when I stop exerting on my stomach

like while having a BM

OK--this sounds like an umbilical hernia and usually they don't cause too much of a problem, but with the symptoms you're having now it may have become an incarcerated hernia and there could be a loop of intestine that's gotten stuck in the defect there. This would be considered a surgical emergency since unless the hernia was operated on to fix the defect and to free the intestine, that part of the intestine could die. I strongly suggest you get to an Emergency room right away
