What if i get in trouble at work tomorrow

Customer Question

What if i get in trouble at work tomorrow
Submitted: 1 year ago.
Category: Health
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Trouble how? And remember my thoughts about what ifs
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
What if they fire me for not being at work all last week
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Your boss knows you'll be there tomorrow?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Yes
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Well, if she hasn't said anything I don't think you'll be fired.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
What the hell
Am i goingbto do if i do get fired
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Get another job but still what if's right now don't help you at all
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
75mg amityptaline, 0.5 mg ativan and vicodin 5-500. I feel like a druggie
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
So what to do about that feeling?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Idk. I feel completely drugged when i take them 3.
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Almost anyone would
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I dont like that feeling though
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
So stay off the vicodin and ask the psychiatrist to take you off the ativan
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Vicodin helps with pain. And i dont think this psychiatrist has plans on ever taking me off it
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Then just stay on the meds and feel drugged.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Wow!
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Just saying those are the only two options right now.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Im just going to stop them all tonight
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Never suggested that
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Im suggesting it
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Again--not a good idea to stop the ativan cold turkey. It would be OK with the other two
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I dont like how it makes me feel. Im going to go one night without it. It cant hurt
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
No, one night won't hurt
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Night
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Night
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
What if i cant get to sleep and i toss and turn all night
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Just try--nothing more you can do but that
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Im so tired
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Just go to work and get back to me in about three hours
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
What does this mean?

Ulcerations and focal inflammation both acute and chronic. Findings are suggestive of possible focL mucosal prolapse
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Where's the biopsy from?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
The rectum
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Not very specific--mostly just inflammation--not an exact diagnosis of any type
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Whats focal mucosal prolapse?
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
The lamina propria coming through the mucosa--an inner lining pushing out but again it isn't specific to a certain diagnosis
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Ok thanks
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
No problem
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
So what does it all mean
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
I can't tell you for sure--it's obviously abnormal, obviously ulcer like and it smacks of either Crohn's or ulcerative colitis but I can't really expand on that
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Path said no signs of crohns or ulcerative colitis
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
That doesn't rule out Crohn's but let's get off this for now. How did work go?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Busy. Saw 16 pt this am
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Great--so you still have a job?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Yeppers
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
I'm glad
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Me too
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Later then
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Worked a 10 hr day and my nurse coworkers said they were glad i was back and that they missed my spunk
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
How did that make you feel?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Good
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Great--hope it gave you a boost in that low self esteem
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Why you also got to bring up my low self esteem
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Because you and I both know you have a problem with it and nothing wromg with that since it's not your fault. But if you can take complements like that and enjoy them then there has been some improvement
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I dont like talking about it. I had to xancel my tgerapy appt this week
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Because of work?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Ya. I work with a neurology provider who starts at 7 am tomorrow
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Well, wish you could have made the appointment but good for you to be back into the work routine
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I didnt go to therapy last week either. MyBlood sugar was 43 earlier
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
I hope you ate something at that point
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Ya. I didnt think itd get that low
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Why did you check it?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
CuZ i felt really lightheaded
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
I'm sure. That's getting down to the passing out or having a seizure level
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Thats kinda scary
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Well, not trying to get into an old subject but you should eat or drink something every two hours with a sugar problem like that
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I didnt think normal peoples blood sugar would go that low
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
They don't. And let's get off the subject for now but either it's from not eating or from overproduction of insulin but the treatment is the same for both
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I miss seeing my therapist
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
When can you see him again?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Next week unless my work schedule changes
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Well, that's not too long in the future
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I know. Will you give me a list of all the questions i should ask my gi dr tomorrow
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
I already did but here goes again--what does the fact that you have both rectal and gastric ulcers mean? Could this be Crohn's with these and the elevated gastrin levels? Where exactly is the bleeding coming from? Why the Cipro and the Flagyl? Why does it hurt so much to eat anything that you'd almost rather not eating at all even though you know that's not a good idea? At what point in the future should you go to the ER?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Could what marty did cause the acute inflammation?
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
No
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Its just weird when i had a colonoscopy last september everthing was normal.
This is my uncles interpretation of the results: Solitary rectal ulcer is a badly named condition. Acts kinda like a hemorrhoid. It occurs with straining and can bleed ESP after biopsy. It is benign and best left alone. Just avoid constipation.
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
I disagree. Nothing like a hemorrhoid and he's probably confusing it with an anal fissure.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Im just confused
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
About what?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I just want a straight forward answer about what the pathology means
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Then add that to your question list for your GI doc
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Why cant you tell me exactly what it means?
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
It says what it says. The ulcer itself and its pathology report isn't the important part here. That's only a statement of what's seen through the microscope and in a case like this it doesn't make a precise diagnosis. The important part is it is an ulcer and with what else is going on with your GI tract to me it points to something like Crohn's
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
They gi drs nurse keeps asking me if i use enemas
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
It wouldn't be from an enema even if you used them
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Just so you know i havent done anything to cause inflammation to my stomach or my intestines. My momfigure says if they cant find a reason why i have all these issue shes gokng to tell everyone i have munchausin by proxy. WTF
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
She doesn't even have her terms right. That would refer to you lying about your child's symptoms or doing something to your child to cause symptoms. And if what she meant was just Munchhausen's no one could on their own cause all your documented GI conditions
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
She says i cause my own ulcers by taking advil, that my pain is subjective and not really there
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Pardon my French here but why should you or I give a you-know-what what she thinks about this?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I think she is just venting. Ni might fall asleep soon so just fyi.
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
OK--you had a long day. Anything else before we close?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I dont like this feeling of being drugged up at all. Everyrhing gets blurry
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Tell your GI tomorrow that the amitriptylene is probably not doing anything for you and it's making you feel drugged and see if he'll agree you don't need it Get a good night's sleep
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Do you think its tge amitryptaline causing it
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
When you combine it with the ativan, yes
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Does amitrtptaline cause dry mouth because since ive been on tge 75 mg my mouth is so dry
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Yes--a very common complaint
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
What cAn i do to get rid of it
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
You can't really--sucking on some hard candy or chewing gum can help but nothing counteracts the dry mouth effect. Hey--I have to be off for three hours so we need to close this page
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Spoke to me gi dr he said the blood in my vomits from a mallory weise tear and the blood in my stools from the ulcer
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
OK--we need to close this page and then you can tell me all he said on a new page
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I asked a new question
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 1 year ago.
Just got on but close this page first
