bruising under nail and finger tip is slightly bruised but swollen and I can feel pressure.

Taking Crestor 20 mg, Doxazosin 4mg., one baby asprin daily

Hello,
Thanks for providing more information.
As you describe there may be possibility of subungual hematoma(it is a localized collection of blood, usually clotted under the nail)
As you have severe pain so you should take OTC Motrin every 4 hourly.
Wash the wound with cold water and clean it and apply topical antibiotic ointment (such as Neosporin/Polysporin) and cover with a dry sterile bandage.
And your tetanus toxoid shot should be updated if you had not received since last 5 years.
Within few days this hematoma will resolve.
If pain is unbearable and swelling gets worse over the time then a clinical examination by your doctor and further X-ray should be done for further evaluation and management.

I hope this helps.
If you have any further query then feel free to ask.
Positive feedback and bonus are highly appreciated.
