Hello,

Thank you for your question,

I’m Dr. Saha and I’ll try to help you.

When did you notice it?

How frequently do you have it?

Do you have any other symptom?

Do you have any other problem? sinus or cold?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

yes i have had a cold recently. i noticed in started about 4-5 days ago, i notice it everytime i blow my nose. i've been feeling extremely drained for energy, nausia, fatigue, minor fever periodically, sore joints/muscles.

Thank you Danielle, for the information.

This streaks can be carbon particles from environment.

If you are exposed to fumes, environmental pollution, then those can be factors.

In some cases, old clotted blood can appear as black particles.

As you feel cold symptoms, fatigue, muscle/ joint pain, periodic fever, there can be sinus or nasal inflammation or infection.

I would suggest to take an examination by doctor.

Doctor can take a few tests & advise antibiotics if there is a bacterial infection.

Please take plenty of fluid.

You can take tylenol or advil cold, meanwhile.

I hope this information helps.

I will be happy to assist, if you need any clarification.

Please feel free for any follow up query.

Best wishes.

say endocarditis was a possible factor could this be in any relation?

Have you been diagnosed with endocarditis? If so when?

Did you have any test?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

no i haven't although ive been diagnosed with bactermia aprox 4-5 months ago but lately have suspected culture negative endocarditis however have yet to seek medical attention, i do plan on going to the E.R in the am

Did you have echocardiography?

Which treatment did you get & for how long?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

i was prescribed antibiotics when they found a trace of bacteria in my blood stream when they did a blood culture no more bacteria grew

Endocarditis can cause fever, muscle, joint pain, fatigue etc.

But blue streak in snot is not typical symptom of it.

When you are feeling those other symptoms, you need to take tests again like blood count, culture, echo etc.
