I missed my dose of Novolog 70/30 before dinner this evening. I just totally forgot. I was diagnosed with Diabetes-2 in May this year. I take 10 units of the insulin before breakfast and 12 units before dinner. My blood glucose was 132 at 10:48. Should I go ahead and take the dose now or wait until morning? My doctor is out of town so cannot contact him.
Hi. The postprandial spike in your sugar would have been about one hour after dinner so since it's only 132 now I suggest you not take the insulin dose tonight and just resume your normal regimen in the morning. Your sugar isn't going to get seriously high overnight
