I have been diagnosed with stage 1 hypertension. I've been prescribed perindopril arginine 5mg daily. I don't want to commence a medication for life especially as this is 'mild' hypertension. There is a hereditary factor involved with hypertension, I'm 49yrs old, do not consume even moderate amounts of salt or caffeine & have never been overweight.
