Hello, I have pain on the top of my right foot near the right upper portion....why.

911Doctor :

I'm not sure I can answer your question to your satisfaction online as this type of problem would require a good exam and Xray as well

911Doctor :

but perhaps you can tell me more about the pain, what it is like, and where it is?

911Doctor :

Can you recall in injury?

911Doctor :

Is this pain towards the medial side (the inside of your ankle/foot) or lateral side (the outside of your ankle/foot)?

911Doctor :

What makes it worse? What makes it better?

911Doctor :

How long have you had it?

Customer:

The pain is lateral only right foot, it started about two weeks ago. Its a sharp pain only when i step funny as in stepping on a rock, or actually rub it down. I'm very active physicallly, so, not sure if that has anything to do with it.

911Doctor : Lots of possibilities here...
911Doctor : The area you are speaking of is in the area of some ligaments which stabilize the ankle
911Doctor : Also could be a bony problem, a stress fracture for instance
911Doctor : theinstance the botXXXXX XXXXXne is that this has been present for two weeks with no apparent cause that you can recall
911Doctor : its time for a doctor to examine your foot and ankle and its time for an Xray
911Doctor : taking an anti inflammatory medicine like Motrin would be reasonable in the meantime as well as using warm compresses to the area
911Doctor : i do not see you in the chat
911Doctor : icharity am going to switch to Q and A for ease of use
911Doctor : if you have further questions please ask them below
911Doctor : if not, positive feedback is always appreciated
911Doctor : thankappreciated thank you for your question
