Conjunctivitis is highly contagious.It can be infectious till there is discharge from eye.In case of viral one it can remain contagious for 2 weeks.But in bacterial conjunctivitis, the chance of infection decreases after 24 hours of start of antibiotics.
Antibiotic reduces the chance of transmission by killing the bacteria.You need to avoid close during this period.

Thank you for your prompt reply.So if she starts taking the Antibiotic Course and Eye Drops prescribed as of today(Sunday), we can kiss from Tuesday onwards safely with no fear of contagion?Also, could you answer yes or no as to whether its possible to pick up anything during the period of antibiotics please :-
1) use the same pillow to sleep on
2) using the same bathroom handtowel to dry my face
3) sharing any garment, e.g. Hoodie Sweatshirt, tea towel in the kitchen, etc
