yes, it's the m with the small 2 at the top


Now it clears the confusion.


BSA (m²) = ( [Height(cm) x Weight(kg) ]/ 3600 )½ e.g. BSA = SQRT( (cm*kg)/3600 )

or in inches and pounds: BSA (m²) = ( [Height(in) x Weight(lbs) ]/ 3131 )½

Here 1/2 means SQRT


Based upon this formula body surface area of patient is 0.59 m2



32/34=1088/3131=0.347 SQRT=0.59


How to calculate SQRT


Now dose is 0.5mg/m2/day


Calculate the dose in mg: 0.5 mg/m2 × 0.59 m2 = 0.295mg per day
