I have a small red bump on the shaft of my penis that has gone

This answer was rated:

I have a small red bump on the shaft of my penis that has gone away once and is back. It does not hurt.
How long ago did you have it the first time and can you describe it in detail?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Noticed it about 2-3 weeks ago and it went away. It is small and less than half the size of my pinky fingernail. It bleed a little the first time while messing with it. This time I have not touched it and has not bleed.

Is it flat? Flaky?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Yes kind of flat and a little flakey.

OK--most likely this is what's called balanitis and it's a yeast infection men sometimes get--not an STD. You can try Lamisil cream twice a day for a week to see if that takes care or it. Otherwise you'll need prescription ketoconazole cream.
