Well there can be various factors which delay toilet training in children which may include-

Neurological problem

Behavioural problem.

So firstly these issues should be ruled out.

You should give him Metamucil and plenty of fluids.

Also a neurological evaluation by a doctor should be advised to rule out delayed toilet training milestone.

I don't think is any of those factors mentioned above except may be behavioural problem( pls i want more explanation on this factor), tnks.

I understand your concern.

Behavioural problem occurs when we force a child to do against his wish.

You should make him relax and don't punish or criticize him.

As it makes him stubborn and toilet training resistance.

Let your child decide when he needs to go to the bathroom.

Don't remind him to go to the bathroom or ask if he needs to go.

Please go through the links i have attached in previous reply to get good measures for his toilet training.

I hope this helps.
