What are the best things to do? Medicine to take when accidentally swallowing roundup concentrate? It was about maybe 3 oz roundup and about 1-2 ozs water? Thank you

Hello,

When this incident happened?

Any pain abdomen,nausea,vomiting?

Any other associated symptoms?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

This incident happened on 5/25 late at night. I did vomit after, not sure when exactly. That night or next morning, not too long after ingestion.

I do have a little pain when drinking liquids and eating harder foods.

Hello,
Thanks for providing more information.

Well as you describe you need to be seen by a doctor for a clinical examination and undergo Upper GI scopy to rule out Esophagitis as swallowing roundup concentrate could cause inflammation in lining of esophagus and stomach.

You should try OTC Prilosec/Gaviscon liquid.

And it's good to make an appointment with your regular doctor/Gastroenterologist for further evaluation and management ASAP.

I hope I've provided the information you were seeking. If you are happy with my service, please provide a rating. If not, please let me know so l can continue to help you. Thank you.

Thank you for the information. So OTC Prilosec/Gaviscon is best thing I can buy at this moment? Maybe at the pharmacy? I do plan to see a doctor. Are there other liquids or foods that may be good for this incident?

Hello,

Thanks for the follow-up.

You should try OTC Prilosec/Gaviscon which can provide you relief.

Also drink cool beverages however avoid caffeine, carbonated beverages.

Avoid spicy,fried food.

Eat banana,semi solid foods.

Drink plenty of water as much as possible.

And consult your doctor as well.
