Generally, if the nail bed is still intact, the fingernail will grow back, though slowly, at about 1mm per week.This means it may take 3-4 months before the nail is back to it's normal length.
You should clean the nail with antiseptic betadine solution.
And if possible trim the raised nail if you feel no pain.
Avoid frequent handwashing and open the bandage after a week.
