I think I have a subluxation.. How can I be sure it is that? And not muscle spasms?
Hello,

Welcome to Just Answer.

What are your symptoms?

When did they develop?

Did you have any injury?

Which joint is involved?

Thank you.
Customer: replied 3 years ago.
Back pain, shortness of breath, anxiety.
They developed 3 weeks ago, maybe 4 weeks ago.
No injuries, it's my whole back but mostly my upper back maybe around the T5 section of my spine.

Do you have any other sympXXXXX XXXXXke cough, fever?

What does aggravate the pain?

Do you take any medicine?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.
No. No coughing. no fever, although I do feel sick, and weak.
All the nerves in my back feel really really sore, like nothing helps. It's up to the point where I want to tear my hair out!
No I don't take medicine.
Thank you Armando, for the information,

Subluxation of the spine is uncommon.

It produces instability of the joint.

Muscle spasm, pull can cause back pain.

But as you feel shortness of breath, the back pain can be related to lung or heart conditions.

There can be an inflammation or infection of lungs or pleura.

Fever, cough may not be present always.

Weakness can be associated with it.

Anxiety state can also cause a feeling of shortness of breath.

As the pain is so much, I would suggest to take an examination by doctor.

You can need a few tests like X ray/ scan, blood.

You can take antiinflammatory analgesics like motrin or naproxen, if there is no other contraindication.

Please take it after some food to avoid irritation of stomach.

I hope this information helps.

I will be happy to assist, if you need any clarification.

Please feel free for any follow up query.

Best wishes.

So it's most likely not spine related? When I twist in specific angles I can feel like sharp pains in areas of my back, does that mean its muscle spams? If so how I have not done any heavy lifting or stained my back? Can it be my bed, I do tend to lay down a lot....
It is unlikely to be related to subluxation of spine.

It is quite uncommon in thoracic areas.

I'm 19
I'm a food runner
My father has a history of diabetes, and I think I do too.. Not sure?
No I haven't seen a doctor, my doctor is never right :-/
I sit and watch t.v for maybe like 5 hours a day with no back support, I also tend to lay down a lot.. And I stand up for like 8 hours straight at my job.
Which has a lot of stress on my back as well
I do smoke weed, but I stopped because I thought it was cause of that..
Yes my neck is stiff
My arms feel weak, numb, my legs as well when I stand for too long..

Hi,
Thanks for providing more information.

I understand your concern about your persistent back pain.

As per your description, possible differential diagnosis may include repetitive muscle strain due to poor posture,Spondylosis,Nerve compression.

And as you are suffering from last few weeks with little relief so in my opinion you need to be seen by an Orthopedist for a clinical exam and undergo X-ray/MRI of spine.

Numbness, weakess in arms and legs can be associated pressure on nerves at their path.

Vitamin B 12 deficiency,Diabetes can also result in numbness, weakness in extremities.

So your blood sugar levels should be checked.

You should try multivitamin supplement containing B complex.

Also take OTC Motrin,do massage with analgesic ointment and apply warm compresses on back with a heating pad.

Physical therapy can be effective.

Do stretching exercises.

And make an appointment with your doctor.

Hope this helps.

Will do. I also believe its nerve compression of some soft.. Because I feel like my spine ache. Thanks for the detailed answer.

Hi,

Thanks for the follow-up.

You should try self measures to see if they provide you relief in next 2-3 days.

If you have severe pain then visit ER.

Otherwise make an appointment with your doctor.

Having said this, you shouldn't ignore your symptoms as such.

Good luck.

Hope this helps.
