I just had my big toe nail removed yesterday. They wrapped in gauze. I just took the gauze off so I can clean the bottom of my foot. What's the proper procedure as far as wrapping it back up again.

For wrapping it back again, you may clean it with the Betadine (which is available without prescription; you may just apply it gently without rubbing on the area) and apply a sterile gauge. Than wrap it with the bandage.

Can I use Bactrian or neosporin. I don't have any of the ointment you are saying to use. I have gauze and big band aids. Will that work

Hello Janelie,

Yes, you can use these creams, you have. Just put a small amount good enough to be a thin layer on the removed nail. Than put the sterile gauge and apply the big band aid. A thick layer of the ointment may slip the gauge.

Sorry for the delay. I was on another question. I apologize for your wait.
