When you feel tightness in the chest, there can be a cause in the chest.

Dr. Saha :

An infection can be there.

Dr. Saha :

You may not have fever or pain always.

Dr. Saha :

Obstructive lung disease, bronchiectasis, asthma, allergy can cause it.

Sometimes, heart conditions can cause congestion in lungs & phlegm.

Dr. Saha :

I would suggest to take an examination by doctor without further delay.

Dr. Saha :

You can need a few tests like X ray, blood counts, sputum tests etc.

Customer:

I was wondering about that. I have had bronchiectasis within the past year, and as of lately have experienced stomach problems. I will contact my doctor. Thanks.

Dr. Saha :

In bronchiectasis, lots of phlegm can come out.

Customer:

Yes, I took antibiotics last year for the problem. Michiganders seem to suffer a lot from this issue. Thank you for your time and effort. Take care.

Dr. Saha :
