why do we keep sneezing when we have a cold? also why is our nose gets stuffed up? and when we lay down to sleep , if we sleep on the right slide, the left side opens up and vise versa

Hello,

Sneezing is our body's way of removing an irritation from our nose.

When the inside of your nose gets a tickle, a message is sent to a special part of our brain called the sneeze center. The sneeze center then sends a message to all the muscles that have to work together to create the amazingly complicated process that we call the sneeze.
When you catch a cold in our nose, a virus has made a temporary home there and is causing lots of swelling and irritation.

Even nasal congestion is the blockage of the nasal passages usually due to membranes lining the nose becoming swollen from inflamed blood vessels resulting in triggering of excessive production of mucus.

When we lay down such mucus travels to one nostril to other due to gravitation.
