I have taken Prednisone, I just took a dose of Meloxicam. I dont beleive its gout, its more of a tendonitis issue. The pain is just starting and hopefully it doesnt get worse. Usually my foot will swell up to the point i cant walk because of severe pain and swelling of the whole foot.

Hello,
Thanks for providing more information.

As you describe possible causes may include tenosynovitis(-inflammation of the tendons),Gout,Metatarsalgia.

You can apply cool compresses with ice packs for about 20 minutes at a time, several times a day. To protect your skin, wrap the ice packs in a thin towel.
.

Also continue Meloxixam for few days.

You can also do gentle massage with muscle relaxant ointment.

And wear proper shoes with arch supports.

Avoid prolonged hours of standing and sitting in same position.

And if your symptoms'll persist or get worse over the time then you need to be seen by your regular doctor and undergo CBC,ESR,S.uric acid,CRP,ANA for further evaluation and management.

I hope this helps.
