Expert:  Dr. Brims replied 4 years ago.
Okay, there is a condition called hypothyroidism, which causes low output of thyroid hormone, I would recommend you have thyroid function tests, because your symptoms are likely from this. The treatment is simple, it require thyroid hormone supplements. Hypothyroidism occurs in many women of your age

Have you had your serum vitamin B12 levels checked?
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

Not checked. Take a general b vitamin daily and evening primrose

Expert:  Dr. Brims replied 4 years ago.
Okay, this may be due to a vitamin B12 deficiency, whether you take the tablet daily or not. I would recommend you have your vitamin B12 levels checked, you may require higher doses than you are taking. I would also recommend you discuss having an MRI of your brain with your doctor if your vitamin B12 level is normal, these may be symptoms of early multiple sclerosis if all your other tests prove to be normal
