immediately

911Doctor :

I am happy to discuss it with you, but if there is anything you tell me about what happened that makes me worried about a heart attack you must go to the ER now.

911Doctor :

standing by.

911Doctor :

simply type in the box at the bottom of the page and click 'reply'

911Doctor :

standing by

911Doctor :

are you there?

Customer:

YES

911Doctor :

911Doctor :

so what happened this morning?

911Doctor :

how are you now?

Customer:

I FEEL FINE ALITTLE TIRED, NO PAIN BP IS 16/104 PULSE RATE 114

911Doctor :

so your heart rate is a bit high....

Customer:

SORRY BP 146/106

911Doctor :

got it

911Doctor :

your pulse rate is high

911Doctor :

what happened this morning that makes you think you had a heart attack?

Customer:

pulse has run high for several days, as high as130 my dr. blames it on my bronchitis and smoking

911Doctor :

okay, but you specifically mentioned something happening this morning.... aside from the high pulse, what happened that makes you think you had a heart attack?

911Doctor :

have you had one before?

Customer:

pulse always high got up to 130 the other day

911Doctor :

I understand that.... andXXXXXtoo high

911Doctor :

but did you have any pain or shortness of breath or anything else?

Customer:

started yesterday evening with pain in back, i thought it was in my lung. increased as night came. tried to go to bed, but it went from my back to my chest and arm. got upand it eased some. took my bp and then a nitro. felt better soon after.

911Doctor :

then you absolutely need to go to the ER.

911Doctor :

that's a very worrisome story

911Doctor :

and along with your smoking history

911Doctor :

and tachycardia (high pulse)

911Doctor :

and the pain, and the nature of the pain

911Doctor :

you need to go

911Doctor :

and get checked

911Doctor :

because if you have had a small heart attack then a big one can follow

911Doctor :

and a big one, as you know, can be fatal

911Doctor :

so I would not take a chance

911Doctor :

I would go now to the ER

911Doctor :

without an EKG

you need to go now to the ER
